Youth Engaged in Society - School Debate Club Creation Project (YES SDCCP)

Beneficiaries Description: Direct beneficiaries are around 2,000 school students from 100 secondary schools. Indirect beneficiaries include secondary school students, teachers, and school administrations of 100 schools

Project Areas: Yerevan and eleven towns of Armenia (Echmiadzin, Armavir, Gavar, Sevan, Masis, Artashat, Ashtarak, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Gyumri,Vanadzor)

Project Goal: promote the development of civil society by creation and development of Debate Clubs for secondary school students of Armenia.

Project Objectives:

  1. increasing the knowledge and interest of young Armenians in key issues related to the development of civil society, democracy and human rights,
  2. building communication and analytical thinking skills that will permit young Armenians to more actively participate, today and later in their adult lives, in the development of Armenian society,
  3. adding value to the education system and increase enthusiasm of young Armenians for learning through participatory methods.
