Youth Engaged in Society - Academic Year 2011-2012

Beneficiaries Description: Direct beneficiaries are around 1,700-2,250 school students from around 113 secondary schools.

Project Areas: Yerevan and 12 towns of Armenia (Armavir, Abovyan, Metsamor, Vagharshapat, Hrazdan, Gyumri, Gavar, Sevan, Vanadzor, Masis, Artashat and Ashtarak)

Project Goal: promote the development of civil society

Project Objectives:

  • increasing the knowledge and interest of young Armenians in key issues related to the development of civil society, democracy, and human rights,
  • building communication and analytical thinking skills that will permit young Armenians to more actively participate, today and later in their adult lives, in the development of Armenian society,
  • adding value to the education system and increasing enthusiasm of young Armenians for learning through participatory methods.
