Beneficiaries Description: 

Direct: nearly 975 students of 65 schools

Indirect:

• the parents of the students of the 65 schools
• the other students of the 65 schools
• the administrations and the staff of the 65 schools

Project Areas: Armenia (Yerevan, Vardenis, Jambarak, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Armavir, Sevan, Gavar, Vagharshapat) and Georgia (Javakhq/Akhalkalaki/villages) -  65 schools     

Project Goal: to promote the further development of civil society by organizing structured and sustainable debate clubs in the schools.

Project Objectives:

• increasing the knowledge and interest of young school age Armenians in key issues related to the development of civil society, democracy, and human rights,
• building communication and analytical thinking skills of school age youth that will permit them to more actively participate in the development of Armenian society, today and later in their adult lives,
• adding value to the education system and increasing enthusiasm of young Armenians for learning through in-person and on-line participatory methods.
• establishing a Resource Platform to support the continuity of operations of the Debate Clubs during and after the project end.
