Beekeeping Development in Alaverdi Region

Beneficiaries Description: 19 young people willing to run a beekeeping business 

Project Areas: Alaverdi, Lori

Project Goal: to develop the beekeeping business in the community to tackle the problem of unemployment among the young people and at the same time contribute to the increase of the number of bees, reducing the risk of their extinction and meeting the demand of honey in the local market. 

Project Objectives:

1. In 5-year period to equip 19 young people in beekeeping business who will stay in their communities to generate income for their families.
2. Increase the production of local honey to meet the demand in the local market and create a prerequisite for formation of a cluster of beekeepers in the region.
