Beneficiaries Description: Direct beneficiaries of the project are about 500 disabled children (identified) and 8 trained doctors of the targeted regions. Indirect beneficiaries are about 2300 newborns (per year) from targeted marzes.
Project Areas: Yerevan, Syunik, Ararat and Aragatsotn marzes
Project Goal: To reduce DDH disability among children and to improve the quality of life of disabled children in Syunik, Ararat and Aragatsotn marzes of Armenia.
Project Objectives:
- By the end of 2010 to improve the knowledge and skills of 8 medical doctors (2 from Ararat, 2 from Aragatsotn & 4 from Syunik marz, (Goris and Kapan)) from targeted regions in prevention and management of DDH.
- By the end of 2010 to improve the quality of life of disabled children by conducting 4 outreach clinics for medical examination of disabled children of Aragatsotn, Ararat and Syunik (Goris and Kapan cities) marzes of Armenia.
