Domestic Violence Prevention

Beneficiaries Description: 2,100 training participants /women, youth, university students, police representatives, community leaders/

Project areas: All Shirak marz (Shirak) , All Lori marz (Lori) , All Gegharkunik marz (Gegharkunik)

Project Goal: To enhance public consciousness to domestic violence and reduce possible risk associated with Human Rights violations within families in Shirak, Gegharkunik, and Lori marzes.

Project objectives:

• To increase knowledge among 2,100 people from different layers of the population on the issue of domestic violence to respect and protect of equal rights of the family members through educational activities in the three Marzes.
• To raise awareness and sensitize at least 10% of the population of Gegharkunik and Lori marzes of Armenia with regard to domestic violence through public awareness and outreach activities (the total number of population in those three marzes is 523,000).
