Beneficiaries Description: the residents of three marzes: Kotayk, Aragatsotn and Gegharkunik, that have found themselves in the position of the suspect or the accused and need to make use of the services of Public Defenders.
Project areas: Kotayk, Aragatsotn and Gegharkunik marzes, Armenia
Project Goal: to find out the real causes for waiver of public defenders in order to ensure the protection of the insolvent class’s rights.
Project Objectives:
- The access to judicial assistance of the marginalized groups’ will have been enhanced.
- Awareness among those people who need legal human-rights related consultancy will have been raised.
- The root-causes and real reasons for which people from Kotayk, Aragatsotn and Gegharkunik marzes decline the services of the Public Defender’s Office in Armenia will have been revealed.
