Norayr Baboumian Rehabilitation Center Establishment in Sevan-II phase

Beneficiaries Description:  More than 150 disabled people (including solders) in Sevan and surrounding villages 

Project Areas: Sevan, Gegharkunik

Project Goal: to improve the quality of life of persons (adults) with disabilities and the economic state of their families from Sevan and ten surrounding villages through the establishment and running of a specialized Rehabilitation Center that will create necessary conditions for rehabilitation and social adaption to further contribute towards the improvement of the socio-economic state of project beneficiaries.

Project Objective: 

• Establish a rehabilitation Center for adults with disabilities: negotiate with Sevan Town Hall (municipality), Ministry of Health of RA, Sevan Medical Center to acquire building beside the Children Rehabilitation Center of Sevan and establish a Rehabilitation Center for Persons with disabilities (the result will be a signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) from four sides).
• Reconstruct, renovate, furnish, and equip the building next to Children Rehabilitation Center of Sevan to serve as a Rehabilitation Center for adults as well as a Resource Center to conduct professional training for the staff and vocational training for the beneficiaries.
• Recruit and train specialists to be further employed to work with the beneficiaries of the project at the Center.
• Conduct outreach visits to targeted villages to identify new cases of adult disability to further register at the Center for treatment.
• Run the operation of the Center for one year.
