Skill Building of Rural Farmers for Effective & Innovative Greenhouse Management

Beneficiaries Description: at least 80 disadvantaged small-scale farmers residing in the regions of Armenia (either already owning a small greenhouse or willing to construct one (up to 1000 m2)) on advanced technologies in greenhouse management through a series of online trainings and workshops.

Project Area: regions of Armenia

Project Goal: to provide opportunities to disadvantaged small scale regional farmers to increase efficiency and profitability rate of their greenhouses by building their knowledge and skills on new methods and advanced technologies, as well as ensure financing along with the State subsidy for necessary investments.

Project Objectives։

  • Improve knowledge and skills of at least 80 disadvantaged small-scale farmers residing in the regions of Armenia (either already owning a small greenhouse or willing to construct one (up to 1000 m2)) on advanced technologies in greenhouse management through a series of online trainings and workshops.
  • Support at least 40 small-scale farmers to develop their greenhouse business models to bring investments either for newly to be constructed small efficient greenhouses or those already built to be further advanced with new technologies.
  • Ensure affordable financing for at least 15 small-scale regional farmers from the JMF’s Revolving Fund by leveraging the State subsidies.
